Some workpieces are too small to rout safely if they are sandwiched between a workbench and template. For instance to taper legs for a coffee table you can build a template that holds the workpiece in place with toggle clamps. Guide blocks can be used to position the side and end of the leg leaving enough room behind them to clamp the template upside down to a workbench edge. To get a smooth taper, the guide blocks must be secured at the desired angle in relation to the edge of the template. As the router follows the edge, it cuts the taper angle of the blocks in the leg.
Understanding each type of template will allow you to make an educated choice for your business. A flash template is a great way to show creative artwork or showcase your photos. A Cascading Style Sheet or CSS template has been designed to work on multi-platform (different devices) and on multi-browsers. This means no matter what you are viewing the web page on it will look perfect. HTML templates can give you an attractive easy to use layout that will allow you to maintain the web template to your liking. This is great for the website that needs to insert a lot of text on their page. There are also templates that are geared for creating online stores and shops to sell your products called osCommerce templates. Flash intro templates that are pre-made designs that are a great introduction to your website. Last but not least are the Flash animated templates that contain some flash and some non-flash parts. Along with the animated parts you can add buttons, banners, sound, and images. So think about what you need in a webpage and then make your choice.

There are number of content management systems out there in the market but some of them are very popular such as Joomla, WordPress and Drupal. It's easy to find templates on internet for these CMS's, so now a day these content management systems are preferred by most of the developers. The template generally controls the appearance of the website, while the core files of the CMS maintain the content, and cascading style sheets, Flash and other web technologies.
If you try to contact the template website you bought the template from, you will find many of them not able to help you with your required template customization. As you might notice, there are hundreds of web sites offering exactly the same set of web templates -- as they are just affiliate websites reselling websites templates and flash templates from a third party template provider. Therefore many template websites are just interested in selling more templates rather than doing any customization work, or might just redirect you to an expensive template update service so that they can collection commissions by referring you. They are mostly just 'Internet marketers', rather than web developers.
One of the things that makes it worthwhile to design and develop websites using the Joomla CMS is the endless supply of high quality Joomla templates (free, commercial and even custom-made) that are available to you to both use and edit based on your needs.
