What if you require more than a simple, straightforward website? Perhaps you want a flash-based design for your site? No problem - flash website templates can also be purchased for a decent price without sacrificing quality, simplicity and usability. Many template designers offer a wide range of template styles, so don't fret if you require something a little more complicated than the average website. Website template designers offer the consumer a lot of choice, making it easy to create a website that will work for your business.
Upload and Install: Once you have the template on your computer, the next step is to upload it to your website. You can do this manually by logging onto your Joomla hosting account's Control Panel (from where you usually manage files, emails, check websites stats, etc. You get the point! ) You will then go the (from where you manage the files on your website), navigate to the directory where you installed Joomla, click on the folder where the Joomla templates are stored and upload the new Joomla template to the same folder.
Next, trace your patterns, tracing the parts onto your plastic or paper. Space the parts one inch in all directions, and away from the others. Use a measuring device, such as a ruler to draw one-inch lines around the outer outline. On your templates, create a dot. You want the dots to meet two seams per count. The dots are important to mark your stitching areas.
A purchased template must be edited in order to fill in your own content, images, logo, contact information, etc. Custom flash or HTML coding should also be done in order to make the template truly match the theme of your website. Many of the web templates you found on different sites might look similar to a certain point, and are often overwhelmingly corporate feel. Also remember you are not the only custom who purchase the web template unless you buy an exclusive license of the template (costs thousands!). And even if you do, prior to your purchase other customers might have already purchased that web template and have used it. This might not be a great problem for a personal home page. But many corporate or serious Internet business websites would need template customization beyond just replacing text and images.
Just think about what that means for second. How often have you come across a website that looked like it was thrown together without any serious thought being put into it? What did you think about the website? Did you believe it was good or bad? Maybe if your only goal was to read content that was on it and then navigate away from it then you might not mind. But what if your goal was to sell products on the website? What if your goal was to generate lots of revenue from the website you're going to create? You would at least need a website that has a semi-professional look right?
